I gave the book 3 stars, but did not finish it due to struggling with the old English writing and dialogue. I found it demanding and not enjoyable for casual reading. The lack of connection to characters and plot influenced their neutral rating.

While it follows the premise of Cinderella closely, this story also has its own history, its own characters, and its own voice.
Hearth of the Raven is a refreshing and whimsical read.
