I couldn’t get past the old English writing and dialogue. It took too much brain power to decipher what was going on. Not my idea of casual reading.
So if you’re not into that style of writing, I wouldn’t recommend the book. It was almost an instant turn off but I gave it a chance.
Due to me not finishing it, I can’t state anything in the actual characters or plot, hence the 3 stars— it’s neutral.
What did you think of the book? Did you like it or could you have done without it? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

This one keeps catching my eye but I’ve heard so many mixed reviews on it. I hate that it didn’t work out for you!

Agreed, there are a TON of mixed reviews. But based on what I gathered its a love it or hate it book. And it depends on your interests. From what I could tell the plot of thick but slow at times, and some of the characters were one dimensional. Not to mention the old english too.
Maybe if it was a slimmer book I would have pushed through. But if you decide to give it a go, let me know what you think! (:
